We are required to maintain lab safety according to the UNIST regulation. The related duties consist of three broad tasks. Two regular ones and one irregular one.
UNIST is preparing for the government led laboratory safety inspection yearly happening between July and August. Also, as UNIST laboratories are following the government safety guideline, we have to check the laboratory environment according to the guideline daily and monthly.
Any crew in NDS can do the daily laboratory safety inspection and we are taking this role in rotation every semester to divide the work loads.
As the director of the laboratory, SPL must confirm the daily laboratory safety inspection.
4th of every month, Mirye Seo(μλ―Έλ‘) from Academic & Students Affairs Team(College of Information-Bio Convergence Engineering.) sends monthly laboratory safety inspection checklist to lab safety manager, in our case it's studio lead. Studio lead needs to follow the instruction below.
We need to furnish printed-out lab safety manual provided by UNIST at our physical lab space.
We need to log our safety information and physical environment online. This work needs to be proceeded when there is change in 1) physical environmental change 2) in and out of graduate students 3) Safety issue change.
