It is important to link between knowledge and practice. From reading papers and discussing with others we can broaden our knowledge. This in will help us on design practice – studio projects, courseworks and so on. Furthermore, if you are a master student, you need to write a thesis for graduation which reading paper is the first and last thing during the MGP(Master Graduation Project).

🕵🏽 How to locate the paper
- Make sure that you're in UNIST physically or installed the VPN as guided by UNIST and signED-in
- Go to Google Scholar or google "Design Issues journal" and go there
- Input search terms, such as "Buchanan 2001 Design Issues" or sth similar
- Voilà you have it
🎓 Presenter – analysis of the paper itself
- Prepare a short presentation for discussion
- Discern the structure and research design, pick out what's interesting, what's peculiar, and what's missing in the paper
- Make it simple
- Do not explain everything the paper says
- Trust that the rest have read the paper before joining
🙋 Participants – reading and discussion points
- Read the paper in advance
- Critically think about what the author is trying to convey and analyze whether that makes sense
- Search further about the author
- If time allows, read further (of the author herself/himself, or by others with similar topic or inquiry
- Ask a question in the announcement thread not to the presenter but as a discussion point
